Codethink at CES 2026

Why do you trust software?

Codethink works across a range of industries where complex software and advanced electronics create new challenges, particularly for safety and security. We've learned what it really takes to manage the whole software supply chain, and how to satisfy expectations for critical systems throughout the production lifecycle.

We provide customised open source solutions, tools, techniques, strategic technical counsel and software engineering to help international-scale customers deliver state-of-the art products and services that are performant, reliable and trustable.

Safety Critical Open Source: what's the holdup?

“We need to get back to engineers spending their time explaining why the things they make are safe and stop the nonsense of ISO 26262 where all they do is talk about making documents that no one reads."

— Rainer Faller, Founder, exida GmbH

Leading safety practitioners like Rainer are calling for change because traditional safety practices have failed to address the complexity of modern software-intensive systems.

At Codethink, we have been working with Rainer and the team at exida since 2018, developing systematic safety and security assurance techniques from the ground up, for mixed-criticality systems running complex open source and proprietary software on multi-core microprocessors.

Codethink has achieved a number of key milestones in 2025, including:

How can Codethink help?

  • Want to know if "Safe Linux" is a feasible option for your company?

  • Worried that hypervisors may not be a magic bullet after all?

  • Concerned that your current path is taking too long and costing too much?

  • Wondering if you can trust open source for your critical systems?
